The Ridgemate Giveaway (the "Giveaway") is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. There are two ways to enter, described below — the waitlist and the in-app Launch Challenge. All entries, from either method, go into the same prize pool and are drawn together.
The Giveaway is sponsored solely by Ridgemate ("Sponsor"). It is a promotion run by Sponsor and no one else.
Waitlist entries are accepted from the launch of the ridgemate.co waitlist until the Drawing Date (defined below). In-app Launch Challenge entries are accepted during the Challenge window shown in the Ridgemate app — approximately thirty (30) days following Ridgemate's public availability on the Apple App Store. Sponsor's computer is the official timekeeping device for the Giveaway.
You must meet the age and residency requirements above. In-app entrants must also have a valid Ridgemate account. Employees, officers, and directors of Sponsor, and their immediate family and household members, are not eligible.
There are two ways to enter, and both are free. All entries are pooled together for the same drawing:
a) Waitlist entry. Submit a valid email address via the waitlist form at ridgemate.co and follow @ridgemate.app on Instagram. Each entrant receives one (1) base entry, plus one (1) additional entry for each new, unique person who joins the waitlist using that entrant's referral link, up to a maximum of five (5) total waitlist entries per person. Referrals must be genuine; self-referrals and duplicate, fraudulent, or automated entries will be disqualified.
b) In-app Launch Challenge entry. During the Challenge window, complete either of the following actions within the Ridgemate app: (i) post five (5) or more hikes; or (ii) import your favorites from AllTrails. Completing either action registers one (1) additional entry into the same drawing.
Duplicate email addresses or accounts, and any entries that are incomplete, fraudulent, automated, or that use multiple accounts, will be disqualified. By entering, you confirm you follow @ridgemate.app on Instagram where applicable, and Sponsor reserves the right to verify follows and disqualify any non-compliant entry.
Three (3) winners will each receive eighty dollars ($80.00 USD), delivered via PayPal, Venmo, or another mutually agreed electronic payment method. The prize is a cash equivalent and is not an actual America the Beautiful — National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass. Total approximate retail value ("ARV") of all prizes: $240.00 USD. No substitution, transfer, or cash redemption of a prize is permitted except at Sponsor's sole discretion.
Three (3) winners will be selected by random drawing from all eligible entries received across both entry methods. The drawing will be conducted within thirty (30) days after Ridgemate becomes publicly available on the Apple App Store, or by August 1, 2026, whichever occurs first (the "Drawing Date"). Winners will be notified using the email address provided at entry. If a winner does not respond within seven (7) days of notification, cannot be contacted, or is found to be ineligible, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected at random. Winners must provide a valid PayPal or Venmo account (or an alternative agreed upon by Sponsor) to receive payment.
The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received across both entry methods.
Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, suspend, or modify the Giveaway if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond Sponsor's reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the promotion. Winners are solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes on the value of any prize received. By entering, you agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor from any and all liability arising out of participation in the Giveaway or acceptance or use of any prize.
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Apple Inc. Apple is not a sponsor of, and is not involved in, this promotion in any manner. This promotion is also not sponsored, endorsed by, or associated with Instagram, the National Park Service, PayPal, Venmo, AllTrails, or any other third party. By entering, participants release Instagram and Apple from any and all liability in connection with this promotion.
